Laughlin, Falbo, Levy and Moresi LLP seeks to recruit and retain new and lateral attorneys with strong legal skills and diverse backgrounds. Part of that recruiting effort is developing strong relationships with professional, educational and community groups that share the Firm's commitment to diversity. To further our diversity goals, we are committed to recruiting attorneys and staff through minority job fairs and by identifying and participating in other programs in the legal community designed to increase minority hiring. The Firm is also committed to maintaining a strong relationship with law schools that serve the state. In cooperation with the University of Santa Clara, Golden Gate University, and Western State the Firm has established Laughlin, Falbo, Levy and Moresi scholarships for minority law students and participates in minority job fairs.
The firm recognizes that recruiting alone is insufficient to create and maintain a diverse workforce that is critical to long-term success. The firm's primary goal with respect to retention is to ensure that all attorneys receive the training, mentoring and support they need to succeed.
We believe in sponsorship, participation in leadership in local and national organizations that addressed diversity issues and serve under represented communities. To that end, we are members of various minority Bar Associations and sponsor diversity events throughout California and attend minority business group events.
Laughlin, Falbo, Levy and Moresi LLP fully supports the findings of the Minority Corporate Counsel Association and has an ongoing active diversity training program. We sponsor a number of internal events to promote and celebrate diversity with our firm culture. We have also dedicated resources to fund scholarships for minority and disadvantaged law students.
At Laughlin, Falbo, Levy and Moresi we consider our diversity efforts critical to the level of service that we provide to our clients. We also recognize that a commitment to diversity requires the sustained attention and effort. Achieving and supporting diversity is an ongoing challenge, one that Laughlin, Falbo, Levy and Moresi LLP has made a priority of the firm's management, recruiting, and day to day practice.
